Clarification of News Report
This is to clarify the news article published in Malaya Business Insight on September 29, 2016 entitled, "SMC, Ayala to compete for NAIA project". The relevant portion of the article reads in part:
“SAN MIGUEL Corp. and Ayala Corp. are keen to bid for the P74.56-billion Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Development project under the public-private partnership (PPP) scheme.
. . . .
JG Summit Holdings Inc., Filinvest Development Corp., Megawide Construction Corp. and Metro Pacific Investments Corp. are interested in bidding for the project, according to officials of those companies.
. . . .”
We confirm that Megawide Construction Corporation ("Megawide") is interested to participate in the bidding for the NAIA project. There are no definitive agreements or decisions made in connection with this project. Once an agreement on this proposed project has been executed, disclosure shall be made immediately.
This is also in connection with our previous disclosures dated June 15, 2011, and July 4, 2011 that Megawide intends to participate in biddings for selected government infrastructure projects.
