The Company received today, January 20, 2017, a copy of the Decision dated December 22, 2016 of the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), Fifth Division, in the case entitled, “Leonardo G. Quinitio vs. The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc., et al.”, docketed as NLRC NCR CN 03-03456-16 (NLRC LAC No. 10-002922-16).

In the said Decision, the NLRC found that Mr. Quinitio was validly dismissed by the Company, and that Mr. Quinitio failed to substantiate his claim of illegal dismissal and bad faith on the part of the respondents.  Accordingly, the NLRC denied Mr. Quinitio’s appeal for lack of merit and affirmed en toto the Labor Arbiter’s Decision dated August 3, 2016, which dismissed Mr. Quinitio’s complaint for illegal dismissal and monetary claims against the Company and its officers, Mr. Hans B. Sicat and Mr. Roel A. Refran, for lack of factual and legal basis.
