Appointment of Mr. Augusto D. Bengzon as the Group Chief Finance Officer of Ayala Land Inc.
Background/Description of the Disclosure
This is to formally announce the appointment of Mr. Augusto D. Bengzon as the Group Chief Finance Officer of Ayala Land Inc. Mr. Bengzon will also assume the position of Chief Information Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. He will retain the position of Group Treasurer. Mr. Bengzon joined ALI in 2004 as its Group Treasurer and has led the various funding initiatives which have been instrumental in the company’s strong and sustained growth. These capital raising transactions include successive equity top-up placements and debt capital market issues which have received awards for innovation and execution. Furthermore, he has implemented cash optimization, liquidity and receivables management programs across the group, while serving as treasurer or director in various subsidiary companies. In November of 2016, Mr. Bengzon was appointed as the deputy Group CFO, concurrent with his role as Group Treasurer. Mr. Bengzon received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Ateneo de Manila University, and was granted a full scholarship from the Asian Institute of Management where he received his Masters in Business Management degree. His predecessor, Jaime E. Ysmael, will focus on his position as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of OCLP Holdings, Inc., (OHI) and its subsidiaries, Ortigas and Company Limited Partnership (OCLP), Capitol Commons Corporation (CCC) and Concrete Aggregates Corporation (CAC). Mr. Ysmael has served as Senior Vice President, Group Chief Finance Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Information Officer of Ayala Land, Inc. and has been with the company for 21 years. His leadership and financial wisdom has provided a strong support to Ayala Land and ensured the successful attainment of the 5-10-15 plan, and further, to the current progress of the 2020-40 plan. Throughout his career, he has been recognized as one of the best CFOs in the Philippines and in Asia by various local and international institutions.
