Clarification of News Report

We write with respect to the attached news article entitled “STI allots P6 billion to build 8 new campuses” posted in BusinessMirror (Internet Edition) on May 1, 2017. The article reported in part that:

“STI Education Systems Holdings Inc. said it will spend P6 billion in capital expenditures this year, mainly to fund the eight new campuses it will construct, which include those properties previously owned by the Benitez family that the company’s chairman was able to foreclose.

. . . .”

In connection with the foregoing news article, STI Education Systems Holdings, Inc. confirms that its subsidiary, STI Education Services Group, Inc., has allotted approximately P6 billion to build 8 new campuses in Luzon and Mindanao to prepare for the incoming freshmen for SY 2018-2019.
