PREMIERE HORIZON AND DUSIT GROUP TO JOINTLY EXPLORE PARTNERSHIP ARRANGEMENTS FOR PHA’S WEST PALAWAN PROJECT
Background/Description of the Disclosure
Premiere Horizon Alliance Corporation  (PHA)  announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), through its subsidiary West Palawan Premiere Development Corporation (WPPDC), with the Dusit Group for potential participation and partnerships for the development of PHA’s Puerto Princesa tourism estate project. The MOU was signed by Augusto Antonio C. Serafica, Jr. and Danilo A. Antonio, Chairman and President of WPPDC, respectively, and Evelyn R. Singson, President of Philippine Hoteliers Inc. Both parties intend to collaborate in utlizing their respective resources and expertise in evaluating synergies with regards to the West Palawan project. The Dusit Group will look at the possibility of establishing its three hotel brands (Dusit Thani, Dusit Devarana & Dusit Princess) in the area. The Dusit Group will potentially lend its technical and development expertise given its global resorts experience. In addition, the Dusit Group is keen on exploring the possibility of providing equity for the first integrated masterplan development pod of WPPDC, the 100-hectare North Cove Development (NCDC). The North Cove is part of the seven (7) development pods of AECOM’s masterplan for WPPDC which aims to be the first tourism estate in Puerto Princesa City providing both beachfront and mountainside resorts development that is only a 40-minute drive from the Puerto Princesa International Airport. WPPDC is currently an 85% subsidiary of PHA. Premiere Horizon’s strategic focus beginning this year has been on infrastructure and tourism development supporting the Duterte administration’s focus on sustained countryside development. The Dusit Group is a leader in hotel management and education and comprises a unique international portfolio of distinctive hotels and resorts operating under four brands: Dusit Thani, dusitD2, Dusit Princess, and Dusit Devarana. The group currently operates 29 properties worldwide with more confirmed projects in the pipeline in key destinations such as Australia, Bhutan, China, Indonesia, Kenya, Myanmar, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, and UAE.
