Concession Agreement between Obando Water Company, Inc. and Obando Water District
Background/Description of the Disclosure
In relation to our disclosure dated August 23, 2017, please be informed that today, Obando Water Company, Inc. (“Obando Water”) and the Obando Water District (“OWD”) have signed and executed a Concession Agreement for the design, construction, rehabilitation, operation, maintenance, financing, expansion and management of water facilities and the provision of water and sanitation services in the Municipality of Obando for a period of twenty-five (25) years from the commencement date. Obando Water is a joint venture between Obando Water Consortium Holdings Corporation (“OWCHC”) and the OWD, wherein OWCHC and OWD hold 90% and 10% of the outstanding capital stock, respectively. On the other hand, OWCHC is a consortium of Manila Water Company, Inc. (“Manila Water”) and Manila Water Philippine Ventures, Inc. (“MWPV”) with Manila Water owning 49% and MWPV owning 51% of the issued and outstanding capital stock of OWCHC. MWPV is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manila Water.
