Clarification of certain parts of news article entitled “PT&T eyes comeback, seeks foreign partner” posted in Inquirer.net on October 12, 2017 cited as follows -
1. PT&T intends to regain its status as a major telecommunications force in the Phils. within 3 years and to expand its fixed broadband business across the country
2. PT&T's search for a strategic partner, possibly foreign, with regard to its expansion plans;
3. Lifting of PT&T's voluntary suspension of trading of its shares in the next 3 months with the PSE which will allow the entry of its strategic partners;
4. Completion of PT&T's Rehabilitation Plan by next year, including negotiations with creditors holding about P12B of its debt; and
5. PT&T's long-term plans of expansion of its fixed broadband network nationwide with possible partnerships with cable companies for last mile connections around the Philippines, including talks with the Gov't for use of its nationwide fiber optic assets thru the state-run National Transmission Corp. (Transco).
