Clarification of News Report
We write in connection with your letter to Bloomberry Resorts Corporation (the “Corporation”) dated November 14, 2017 seeking clarification and/or confirmation relating to the news article entitled “Razon keeps casino venture in Korea” posted in philSTAR.com on November 14, 2017. The article reported in part that: “MANILA, Philippines — Ports tycoon and casino magnate Enrique Razon has decided to keep his casino in Jeju, Korea, his first venture overseas. Razon said he is interested in expanding his casino operations in the Asian region, depending on how the respective regulatory environments would turn out. These include Vietnam and Japan but it all depends on these countries’ final regulation governing casinos and gaming, he said. In a chance interview yesterday on the sidelines of the Asean Business & Investment Summit, Razon revealed he has already changed his mind regarding his Jeju casino and is keeping it. ‘Jeju has improved. It’s close to breaking even,’ he said. . . . .“ The Corporation confirms the above-mentioned statements of Mr. Razon. Vietnam and Japan are just some of several prospective jurisdictions outside the Philippines that the Corporation is looking at, but there is nothing definitive at this point. It is part of the Corporation’s ordinary course of business to continuously evaluate potential opportunities offshore. We will make the proper disclosure when a definitive agreement is reached in any of these offshore projects.
