Clarification of News Report
This is to clarify the news article entitled “7 firms bid for P12.5-B Clark airport terminal” published in the December 7, 2017 issue of The Manila Times. The article reported in part that: “SEVEN firms have submitted their bids for the construction of the P12.5-billion new terminal building of Clark International Airport (CIA) in Pampanga, the Department of Transportation (DoTr) and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) said. The firms that submitted bid documents are China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd., China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd., Sinohydro Corporation Ltd., the joint venture of Megawide-GMR Infrastracture (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., DDT Konstract Inc., R-II Builders Inc. and Tokwing Construction Corp. . . . .” We confirm that Megawide Construction Corporation (Megawide), in joint venture with GMR Infrastructure (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., had submitted bid documents for the construction of the P12.5-billion new terminal building of Clark International Airport (CIA) in Pampanga.
