Gentlemen: We refer to your request for clarification/confirmation of the news article entitled ““Developer to open 3 more malls in '18” posted in Malaya Business Insight (Internet Edition) on February 6, 2018. The article reported in part that: “ILOILO CITY. -- Megaworld Corp. expects to have 18 malls by the end of the year as it opens three more within the year. . . . . ‘We are 15 now, there’s three more lifestyle malls by the end of this year. Not as big as Iloilo, but small format – one in Pasig, Alabang and Boracay. We’ll end the year with 18,’ said Tan, adding the company is on track of hitting 28 malls by 2020. Tan said the company also expects to see its malls contribute half of the P20 billion recurring income target by 2020. ‘The growth plan is to expand to 28 malls. At the very least, one or two malls in every township. We have 23 township, so that’s 23 malls at least,’ Tan said. . . . .” The Company confirms the abovementioned news article.
