Manila Water’s Indonesia Subsidiary Signs Agreement to Purchase Shares in PT. Sarana Tirta Ungaran in Indonesia
Background/Description of the Disclosure
Please be informed that PT Manila Water Indonesia (PTMWI), a 95% owned subsidiary of Manila Water Company, Inc. (“Manila Water”) in Indonesia, has signed a Share Purchase Agreement with PT. Triguna Rapindo Mandiri to acquire 4,478 shares of PT. Sarana Tirta Ungaran (STU) which will allow PT MWI to own twenty percent (20%) of the outstanding capital stock of STU. Manila Water intends to finance the transaction through internally generated funds. STU is a bulk water supply company servicing PDAM Kabupaten Semarang and industrial customers in Bawen, located in Ungaran area of Semarang Regency, Central Java Province, with a capacity of 21.5 million liters per day. Its customers include PT. APAC Inti Corpora, a 100-hectare textile and garment manufacturing company.
