Background/Description of the Disclosure
Global Ferronickel Holdings, Inc. (FNI) announces that its operating subsidiary PGMC has signed a supply contract for the delivery of 1.5 million wet metric tonnes (WMT) of nickel ore to Guangdong Century Tsingshan Nickel Industry Company Limited. The contracted product covers medium grade nickel with high iron ore (Ni ≥ 1.5%; Fe ≥ 30%) and will be priced based on prevailing market prices for the 2018 mining season. PGMC has been supplying Guangdong Century Tsingshan Nickel Industry Company Limited with medium grade saprolite ore since 2014.
Other Relevant Information
FNI earlier announced a target shipment volume for PGMC amounting to 6 million WMT for 2018 subject to weather conditions. PGMC operates the Cagdianao Mine Project—the nickel project comprising 4,376 hectares located in Sitio Kinalablaban, Brgy. Cagdianao Claver, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. Divided into seven contiguous laterite deposits, the project is connected within eight kilometers from two separate causeway facilities. It is covered by Mineral Production Sharing Agreement No. 007-92-X renewed in June 2016 for a period of 25 years and by Environmental Compliance Certificate No. 1007-0023 with a maximum annual production volume of 5.0 million dry metric tons or 7.7 WMT. Mining operations run April through October.
