Notice of Award from the Bulacan Water District
Background/Description of the Disclosure
Please be informed that the consortium of Manila Water Company, Inc. (“Manila Water”) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Manila Water Philippine Ventures, Inc. (collectively the “Consortium”), received a Notice of Award from the Bulacan Water District (BWD) for the implementation of a joint venture project for the design, construction, rehabilitation, maintenance, operation, financing, expansion, and management of the water supply system and sanitation facilities of the BWD in the Municipality of Bulakan in the province of Bulacan (the “Project”). Upon completion of the conditions precedent specified in the Notice of Award, the Consortium and BWD shall form a joint venture company to implement the Project that has an estimated capital expenditure program of more than PhP 400 million over the 25-year contract period. It is estimated to deliver a billed volume of 16 million liters per day by Year 25. The joint venture company could serve the airport being proposed to be built by San Miguel Corporation in the Municipality of Bulakan. Manila Water undertakes to provide the Exchange with further developments regarding this transaction.
