Please be informed that the Board of Directors of Union Bank of the Philippines (the “Bank”) at its regular meeting held on September 25, 2020, approved the following: 1. Election of Mr. Ron Hose as independent director of the Bank, to serve the remaining term of office of the late Mr. Erwin M. Elechicon. Mr. Ron Hose, 41, American, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Coins.Ph. His career spans from being a founder of various technology companies in the United States of America to setting up Coins.Ph in the Philippines. Among the positions held by Mr. Hose are: CEO and Director of DCPay, Inc. (2016-2020), Betur, Inc. (2014-2020), and Global Commerce Technologies (2014-2020); Founding Partner of Innovation Endeavors (2010-2012); and CTO and Director of TokBox, Inc. (2007-2009). He has likewise rendered his FinTech expertise during various speaking engagements. Mr. Hose graduated from Cornell University in 2005 with a Masters of Engineering Degree in Computer Science. 2.
