This clarification pertains to the news article entitled “Starlink in talks with two Philippine telcos over satellite internet” released on November 1, 2021 via the website https://spacenews.com, and several other news articles on the subject matter published online. TBGI clarifies that the Board Resolutions of 25 October 2021 covers the following: first, the authorization for TBGI to enter into an agreement with ABS Global Ltd. for the LEOSAT ground station project of ABS Global Ltd., and second, the authorization given to TBGI to engage in discussions with major LEOSAT operators on the technical and prospective commercial applications of said technology in the Philippines. Pursuant to the second authorization, TBGI has initiated several discussions with major satellite operators of upcoming LEOSAT projects, one of which operates in the Asian region (i.e. SatelliteHD, China).

The aspiration of TBGI is to be able to engage in discussions with upcoming major LEOSAT operators as this is the revolutionizing technology in satellite communications. TBGI had cited interest in Starlink in its SEC disclosure as this operator had, earlier in the year, already been cited as having interest in the Philippine market.
