This refers to the news article entitled “SC orders BankCom to restore deposits of clients defrauded by its former employee” by John Victor D. Ordoñez in Businessworld online on June 21, 2022. We would like to clarify however that the possible findings in this case is not reflective of the Bank’s current ownership and management as the transaction transpired in 2001. Further, the Bank does not foresee the award in favor of complainant to be significant or material. Once the bank receives the official decision, further clarification will be provided.
