Subject of the Disclosure

Approval to Issue PHP Bonds of 10 Billion

Background/Description of the Disclosure

Metropolitan Bank & Trust (the Bank) is planning to issue 1.5-year peso bonds of P10 Billion with option to upsize. The offering shall be subject to market conditions.

This issuance is under the Bank's PHP Bond and Commercial Paper Program of Up to P200 Billion, as approved by the Bank's Board of Directors on 15 December 2021.

Proceeds will be used to refinance maturing issuances and diversify the Bank's PHP funding sources while supporting the Bank's operations.
