Jollibee Worldwide Pte, Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Jollibee Foods Corporation and Jasmine Asset Holdings, Ltd., an entity organized in Hong Kong, the owners of Golden Cup Pte. Ltd., an entity organized in Singapore, and Dunkin' Donuts Franchising LLC, a Delaware limited company, have announced the termination of the Master Franchise Agreement (MFA) for Dunkin' which covers certain territories in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macau.
The parties disclosed that the operations of Beijing Golden Cup Corporation, which operates seven Dunkin' restaurants in Beijing, has been terminated as well.
The Master Franchise Agreement on Dunkin' was entered into on January 5, 2015 between Golden Cup Pte, Ltd. and Dunkin' Donuts Franchising LLC covering certain business territories in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macau.
Jollibee Foods Corporation will focus on building its business in China through its larger businesses there, Yonghe King (418 stores), Hong Zhuang Yuan (55 stores) and Tim Ho Wan (13 stores) for a total of 486 stores in China as at September 30, 2022. JFC also has 21 Jollibee stores in Hong Kong and 3 Jollibee stores in Macau. It looks forward to building a significant business in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macau.
Dunkin', which operates more than 2,100 restaurants in the Asia-Pacific region, plans to continue expanding its footprint across China and the broader region through franchising.
