Clarification of News Report

We write in connection with the article entitled “Cebu Pacific eyes purchase of 100-150 aircraft up to $12billion” posted on BusinessWorld (Online Edition) on 17 October 2023, which reported that:

“Philippines budget carrier Cebu Pacific is looking to order 100-150 aircraft from either Boeing or Airbus worth up to $12 billion, its president said on Tuesday.

The $12 billion figure was based on list prices, said the airline’s president, Alexander Lao.

...."

Cebu Air, Inc. (the "Company") would like to confirm the news reporting regarding discussions and considerations for an aircraft order. We want to provide clarity regarding our proposed plan, which involves issuing a formal Request for Proposal ("RFP") to both aircraft manufacturers, Boeing Co. (“Boeing”) and Airbus, S.A.S. (“Airbus”).

Issuing the RFP is the first step in a meticulously planned process, which will involve a thorough technical and economic evaluation of Boeing’s and Airbus’ narrowbody aircraft. We would like to emphasize that a firm commitment to purchase aircraft from either manufacturer will only be made at the successful conclusion of such process.

We trust that this clarifies the above-mentioned news article.
