Clarification of News Report
We write in connection with the article entitled “Cebu Pacific set to finalize $12-b aircraft deal in Q2” posted on Manila Standard (Online Edition) on May 13, 2024 which reported that: “Cebu Pacific said Monday it expects to finalize a deal worth more than $12 billion within the second quarter to acquire100 to 150 narrow-bodied jets, translating into a 9-percent annual increase in seat capacity by 2027. Cebu Pacific chief finance officer Mark Cezar said the company is in the final stages of coordination with both Airbus and Boeing on the request for proposal for 100 to 150 narrow-bodied jets. ‘We expect to announce the results by the second quarter of the year,’ Cezar said. . . . .” Cebu Air, Inc. (the "Company") would like to confirm and clarify the news reports stating that the Company is in the final stages of coordination with both Airbus and Boeing regarding the proposed aircraft order. It is expected that the results will be announced by the second quarter of the year. Additionally, in response to the Exchange's query concerning the January 8, 2024 news article titled “Cebu Pacific readies biggest plane order,” the Company confirms that this process is still ongoing. We hope this clarifies the above-mentioned news article.
