QC Gov’t signs housing deal with 8990 Housing Development Corp:

Background/Description of the Disclosure

Quezon City Mayor Ma. Josefina Belmonte , 8990 Housing Development Corp. Chairman Mariano Martinez Jr. and 8990 Housing Development Corp. President & CEO Anthony Vincent Sotto proudly showcase the signed Memorandum of Agreement between the Quezon City local government and 8990 Housing & Development Corp. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of leading affordable housing developer 8990 Holdings Inc.), to provide 2,699 housing units to QC gov’t employees and QC informal settler families (ISFs) in the company’s new four-tower Urban Deca Homes Commonwealth project near Batasan Road in Bgy. Commonwealth.

During the MOA signing last Saturday, Sept. 28, Mayor Belmonte noted that it is the dream of every Filipino family to own a home. With this “innovative” project with her leadership and that of QC City Administrator Michael Victor Alimurung, “2,699 homes will be immediately made available to beneficiaries from District 2.” She also praised 8990 for building a beautiful development for low-income earners since “they deserve the best.”

For his part, Martinez declared that this milestone is 8990’s first housing project wherein they have partnered with a local government unit (LGU). He expressed hope that with these new, ready homes, the community will be “closer to an inclusive and empowered Quezon City.”

Also joining the MOA signing were Quezon City Dist. 2 Rep. Ralph Wendel Tulfo, Dist. 2 Councilor Mikee Belmonte, and Dist. 2 Councilor Julienne Alyson Rae Medalla.

Also celebrating the MOA signing were Brgy. Commonwealth Brgy. Capt. Manuel Co, 8990 General Manager - Legal Atty. Hazel Helmuth and 8990 CFO Roan Buenaventura-Torregoza .
