Background/Description of the Disclosure

The Philippine Airports Consortium submitted today its pre-qualification documents for the PPP Regional Airports Project. The Regional Airports Project consist of the operations and maintenance of the Bacolod-Silay, Iloilo, Davao, Laguindingan and New Bohol-Panglao (Tagbilaran) airports; which served around 9 million passengers in 2014.

The Philippine Airports Consortium consists of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (“MPIC”) with a 60% interest and Philippines Airports Management Company (“PAMC”); a joint venture between Aéroports de Paris Management SA (“ADPM”), a subsidiary of Aéroports de Paris, and TAV Havalimanlari Holdings A.S (“TAV”), with a 40% interest.

- MPIC is a Philippine-based, publicly listed investment and management company. It is the leading infrastructure holding company in the Philippines. Its current investment portfolio includes toll roads, power, water, hospitals and rail, with total assets of approximately Php 234 Billion as of 2014. Its mission is to manage, transform and grow its companies while continuously seeking investment opportunities to create long-term value for its shareholders.
- Aéroports de Paris builds, develops and manages airports, including Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and Paris-Le Bourget. In 2014, Aéroports de Paris handled around 92.7 million passengers and 2.2 million metric tonnes of freight and mail at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly, and 41.4 million passengers in airports abroad through its subsidiary Aéroports de Paris Management (ADPM). The Group is also the owner of 38% of the capital of the Turkish operator TAV Airports. In 2014, Group revenue stood at €2,791 million and net income at €402 million.
- One of the world’s leading airport operators, TAV Airports operates 14 airports in Turkey, Georgia, Tunisia, Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, Croatia and Latvia. Through its subsidiaries, TAV Airports provides services in all areas of airport operations including duty-free, F&B, ground handling, IT, security and operation services. The company provided services to approximately 743,000 flights and 95 million passengers in 2014. The Company’s shares are listed in the Istanbul Stock Exchange (BIST) under the ticker code “TAVHL”.

MPIC, ADPM and TAV have entered into an exclusive Philippine airport consortium agreement to govern their relationship with one another in participating in the bidding for the PPP Regional Airports Project.
