Clarification of News Report

We write with respect to various articles regarding the Cavite Bus Rapid Transit Project (“BRT project”) recently awarded to Megawide Construction Corporation (“MWIDE”). In one of the articles entitled “Connecting Cavite: Saavedra’s 42-km BRT set for partial rollout by September 2025” posted in Bilyonaryo.com, it was reported, in part, that:

“Megawide Construction Corp. is set to begin partial operations of the P1.87-billion Cavite Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project by September 2025, with full construction expected to start in the second quarter.
. . .

The project includes the development, operation, and maintenance of the BRT and P2P routes, and Megawide expects to complete the entire facility in about two years.”


We confirm that the Cavite Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) includes the development, operation, and maintenance of the BRT and P2P routes and that partial operations may start in September 2025.

We would like to clarify, however, that the Cavite BRT project will have 42 stations, spread across a 29-kilometer stretch.

We would also like to clarify that the total project cost of P1.87 billion will be spread over the concession period of 30 years and includes the development, construction of terminals and other facilities, as well as repairs and maintenance of the entire facility. The Company expects to complete at least Phase 1 of the project in about two years.
