GMA Network Appoints Cheryl Ching-Sy as OIC of GMA Entertainment Group
Leading broadcast company GMA Network has appointed Cheryl Ching-Sy as Officer-in-Charge of the Network’s Entertainment Group, effective March 1, 2025.
Ching-Sy will oversee the Entertainment Group's various projects, including the GMA Prime program “Mga Batang Riles,” GMA Afternoon Prime series “Binibining Marikit,” “Prinsesa ng City Jail,” and “Mommy Dearest,” and the much-anticipated “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre,” which is set to air soon this 2025.
Concurrently, she will continue to function as the Entertainment Group’s Vice President for Drama.
Ching-Sy is a well-respected and highly accomplished leader within GMA Network and the industry. As Vice President for Drama, she has played a pivotal role in the Kapuso Network’s groundbreaking programs such as “Voltes V: Legacy,” “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” and the most important Philippine TV series of 2024, “Pulang Araw.” She has also supervised the production of the top-rating GMA Afternoon Prime programs “Abot-Kamay na Pangarap,” “Lilet Matias: Attorney-At-Law,” and the GMA Prime hit “Widows’ War.”
Her appointment follows the retirement of Lilybeth G. Rasonable as Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group after more than two decades of service to the Network.
