Subject of the Disclosure
Retirement of Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Padolina as President and Chief Academic Officer, as well as Member and Vice Chairman of the Board; Election of Atty. Danilo L. Concepcion as replacement of Dr. Padolina for the unexpired term; and Appointment of Dr. Padolina as President Emeritus.
Background/Description of the Disclosure
During the recently concluded Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of CEU held in the afternoon of 25 April 2025. Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Padolina informed the Board of her intention to Retire as President and Chief Academic Officer of CEU. Concomitant is her status as Member and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. The retirement will take effect 01 June 2025 (last day on 31 May 2025). The Board of Directors unanimously approved the retirement of Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Padolina, as President and Chief Academic Officer of Centro Escolar University, as well as Member of the Board and Vice Chair of the Board effective 01 June 2025. During the same meeting, the Board, still constituting a quorum, elected Atty. Danilo L. Concepcion as member of the Board of Directors who will serve for the unexpired term of Dr. Padolina from 01 June 2025 until the Annual Stockholders Meeting in October 2025. The Board, still constituting a quorum, also elected Atty. Danilo L. Concepcion as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors who will serve for the unexpired term of Dr. Padolina as Vice Chair from 01 June 2025 until the Annual Stockholders Meeting in October 2025. Moreover, the Board, still constituting a quorum, elected Atty. Danilo L. Concepcion as President and Chief Academic Officer who will serve for the unexpired term of Dr. Padolina as Vice Chair from 01 June 2025 until the Organizational Meeting after the Annual Stockholders Meeting in October 2025. Furthermore, the Board unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Padolina as President Emeritus of CEU effective 01 June 2025.
