Subject of the Disclosure
Repower Energy Development Corporation (“REDC”) is acquiring a 95% equity stake in Maramag Hydropower Corporation (MHC), the developer of the 25 MW Pulangi IV project located in the Municipality of Maramag, Province of Bukidnon.
Background/Description of the Disclosure
This Php 6.3B hydropower project will again utilize the Pulangi river, downstream of the same river system used in REDC’s new 18.2MW Pulangi plant facility located in between the city of Valencia and San Fernando, Bukidnon.
“Our acquisition of MHC’s Pulangi project marks our second investment in the area, and a significant step in REDC’s mission to expand clean, renewable, and indigenous hydropower for Mindanao.” Said Eric Y. Roxas, President of REDC.
The Corporation has acquired Thirty-Two Million One Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand One (32,192,001) common shares of Maramag Hydropower Corp. for an aggregate purchase price of Thirty-Two Million One Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand One Pesos (Php 32,192,001.00).
