We write with respect to PSE's request for clarification regarding the news article posted in BusinessMirror (businessmirror.com) on December 3, 2025, entitled “Panasonic to invest Php3 billion to boost Laguna manufacturing operations” it was reported in part that:
“Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation is pouring P3 billion to scale up its operations in its facility in Laguna, particularly to manufacture electric fans, refrigerators and washing machines, according to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).
In a social media post, PEZA said Panasonic signed Registration and Supplemental Agreements, formalizing Panasonic’s expansion into domestic market operations.
PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga and Panasonic President and Chairman Akio Ota signed the agreements for Panasonic’s approved projects with combined investments of more than P3 billion. . . . . According to PEZA, the manufacturer of consumer electronics will begin operations between 2026 and 2027 and is expected to provide additional jobs to over 340 Filipinos during its incentivized period. . . . .”
The Company confirms that, as disclosed in Material Information/Transactions on November 28, 2025, it is registered as a PEZA Domestic Market Enterprise.
The registered activities are for the manufacture of electric fans, and manufacture of washing machines and refrigerators with target start of commercial operations in 2026 and 2027, respectively, in line with the agreements signed with PEZA.
The total amount of investment, including the construction cost of new factory building in Laguna Technopark, is approximately Php3 Billion consistent with the PEZA social media post and the news article.
Should there be any developments related to these projects, the Company will promptly file the required disclosures.
