DOE Certificate of Award for BSC Cadiz 1 Solar Power Plant (GEA-4)
Background/Description of the Disclosure
Basic Energy Corporation (“BEC” or the “Company”) wishes to inform the Philippine Stock Exchange that it has received a Certificate of Award from the Department of Energy (DOE) for its Cadiz 1 Solar Power Plant under the Fourth Round of the Green Energy Auction Program (GEA-4).
The Cadiz 1 Solar Power Plant is a 43.410 MWAC renewable energy project located in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, which has been previously disclosed by the Company as part of its growing solar development portfolio in the Visayas. Under the Certificate of Award, BEC was confirmed as a Winning Bidder and is entitled to proceed with the project, subject to compliance with the terms and conditions of the Green Energy Auction Program and the execution of the relevant project agreements.
The project is committed for delivery to the Visayas Grid with a targeted commercial operations date of on or before 31 December 2026. Development activities for the Cadiz 1 Solar Power Plant are ongoing, consistent with the Company’s previously disclosed timelines and strategy to advance utility-scale renewable energy projects.
The Company will provide further disclosures as material milestones are achieved.
