Subject of the Disclosure

Padcal Mill Incident

Background/Description of the Disclosure

MANILA, PHILIPPINES 19 January 2026 – Philex Mining Corporation (the “Company” or “Philex”) has been operating the Padcal Mine for more than six decades since 1958 which mine has undergone several mine life extension optimizing use of its existing mine and mill facilities. Operational challenges inherent to an ageing mine continue to impact the day to day performance of Padcal, the recent of which was the structural issue experienced last Saturday at the mill plant that negatively impact daily production.

A section of the Mill experienced a structural support failure, particularly in its tertiary bins at the Secondary and Tertiary Crushing (STC). Consequently, this affected the vibrating screens of the tertiary crushers and misaligned the connecting conveyors rendering the entire STC system that feeds to the grinding section non-operational. An alternative milling process is currently employed at reduced capacity utilizing the unaffected processing facilities while detailed engineering works on assessment and repairs are underway to restore normal production level.
There are sufficient ore underground to feed the mill using the unaffected underground Cable Hauled Conveyor (CHC) system. However, the breakdown of the STC system at the Mill plant will significantly impact the current production level.

No injuries or fatalities, nor environmental impact, were reported as a result of the incident.

Secondary & Tertiary Crushing is the in-between process between the Primary Crushing and Grinding Section of the Mill Plant. Primary Crushing directly handles the ore coming from the mine underground and crushes it to a size suitable for the Secondary & Tertiary Crushers. The Grinding Section in turn processes the sized ore from the Secondary & Tertiary Crushers.
