With reference to the information reported in the subject news article, we confirm that the Energy Regulatory Commission has approved a five-month extension of the PPA until June 25, 2026, noting that the reliable and flexible capacity of the Sta. Rita Plant is much needed during the summer months to ensure sufficient available capacity and avert yellow/red alerts, power interruptions, or widespread outages.
