NexGen's subsidiary, SPARC-Solar Powered Agri-rural Communities Corporation, signs Power Supply Agreement with a Retail Electricity Supplier, Marubeni Philippines Energy Corporation.
Background/Description of the Disclosure
NexGen Energy Corp. ("XG") informs the Exchange that its subsidiary, SPARC-Solar Powered Agri-Rural Communities Corporation ("SPARC"), signed a Power Supply Agreement ("PSA") on 30 September 2026 with Marubeni Philippines Energy Corporation ("MPEC"). MPEC is a Retail Electricity Supplier licensed by the Energy Regulatory Commission and a member of the Marubeni group. This is the NexGen group's first PSA with a Retail Electricity Supplier and its first with a Japanese-affiliated offtaker. Under the PSA, SPARC will supply MPEC all generated renewable energy from its solar power plant in San Rafael, Bulacan, together with the corresponding Renewable Energy Certificates. The PSA runs for three years from the Supply Commencement Date, with an option to extend for another three years upon mutual agreement.
Other Relevant Information
The PSA marks NexGen's entry into direct supply to the retail electricity market. It secures contracted, long-term revenue for the San Rafael plant and establishes a supply relationship with a Marubeni-group retail electricity supplier. NexGen intends to pursue this commercial model across its operating solar portfolio and development pipeline, as it expands the supply of renewable energy and RECs to retail electricity customers. NexGen and Marubeni intend to explore further opportunities to collaborate on future projects.
