Therma Mobile, Inc. (“TMO”) Sale and transfer of ownership and operational control of two (2) of its Bunker C-Fired Power Barges to More Electric and Power Corporation (“MORE Power”)
Background/Description of the Disclosure
Aboitiz Power Corporation (“AboitizPower” or the “Company”) was advised today by its subsidiary, Therma Mobile, Inc. (“TMO”), of the sale and transfer of ownership and operational control of two (2) of its Bunker C-Fired Power Barges – Mobile 4 and Mobile 6, located at the Navotas Fishport Complex, Navotas City, Metro Manila – to More Electric and Power Corporation (“MORE Power”), effective today, October 2, 2026. Prior to this transaction, the power barges have been under mothballed status since February 14, 2025 pursuant to the Letter of Confirmation issued by the Department of Energy (DOE) for their mothballing. TMO and MORE Power are closely coordinating the transfer of these two power barges in compliance with grid and regulatory standards. Notices regarding the transaction have been sent to the appropriate offices and entities, including the DOE, Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines Inc. (IEMOP), the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), and other concerned bodies. TMO’s remaining generation activities will continue through its two (2) other oil-fired power barges, TMO Mobile 3 and Mobile 5, whose operations remain unaffected by this transaction. TMO is a subsidiary of AboitizPower through Therma Power, Inc., its holding company for thermal energy investments.
