Disclosure on Philex NAMAWU's Strike and DOLE Concilliation-Mediation Conference

Background/Description of the Disclosure

On October 11, 2026, Philex Mining Corporation (“Philex”, “the Company”) was made aware of a strike initiated by the leadership of the Philex National Mines and Allied Workers Union (NAMAWU), on the alleged ground of bargaining deadlock, despite continued negotiations at the NCMB-CAR with the supervision and guidance of NCMB-Central Office. NAMAWU had earlier voted on September 30, 2026, to grant its officers the authority to proceed with a strike, and submitted the results of the strike vote referendum on October 01, 2026, to the NCMB-CAR.

As part of efforts to arrive at a mutually acceptable resolution to this dispute, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has invited the Company and the union to a conciliation-mediation conference before the Office of the Secretary, through the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Regional Operations, on 12 October 2026 at the DOLE Building, Intramuros, Manila.

The Company will continue to ensure the safe and orderly management and operation of the Padcal mine.

The Company will likewise provide further updates as appropriate.

Other Relevant Information

We are still determining the exact number of the union members that went on strike but we estimate that yesterday's Rank-and-File employees and Supervisors that went to work is about 65% of the total scheduled Rank-and-File employees and Supervisors for the day. Our  managers and supervisors  will continue to take over including Rank-and-File who will report for work and opt for their own free will will not join the strike.

Padcal operation remains unhampered.
