Fruitas to introduce fresh store and grilled chicken concepts
Background/Description of the Disclosure

Manila, Philippines - Leading food and beverage kiosk operator, Fruitas Holdings, Inc. (FHI), listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange under the symbol FRUIT, will soon launch two new concepts – first, a fresh store concept under the Babot’s Farm brand; and second, a grilled chicken concept with a twist on presentation and flavor.

Babot’s Farm will initially have three major verticals of fresh products in its own portfolio, including FRUIT’s leading buko beverage line, a new soy line under Soy & Bean, featuring products from its recent acquisition, The Tofu Store, and fresh dairy. Soy & Bean’s soy-based products will initially include fresh soy milk, tofu, taho, and soy-based ice cream.

In line with its core business, FRUIT is also entering the grilled chicken business, which it will offer through its kiosk network or by independently setting up strategic stores. FRUIT will leverage off its recent acquisitions, Heat Stroke Grill and Kuxina Ihaw Na. Chicken has proven to be the leading protein offered in food service in the Philippines and FRUIT believes it can carve a niche in this wide and fast-growing market segment.
