Response to SEC Notice on the COVID-19 Pandemic

Background/Description of the Disclosure

This is in compliance with the directive of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s to inform the investing public of the risks and impact of COVID-19 on SBS Philippines Corporation (“SBS”).

Please be informed that SBS is operating from its head office in Quezon City and is serving its customers from 5 locations in Metro Manila and Bulacan.
As a chemical distribution company, it is exposed to the risk of disrupted supply chain for our deliveries to customers as well as incoming goods arriving from the port of Manila. To mitigate such anticipated concerns, SBS has implemented a contingency plan in relation to the community quarantine imposed in the entire Metro Manila to ensure continuity of the deliveries of products required by its customers based on present information available. Group communication access among SBS’ logistic personnel and logistic service providers in relation to its supply chain flow has also been put in place.
SBS is also exposed to the risk of a highly fluctuating demand for raw materials by its customers and our organization is on close contact with our customers for proper coordination and better managed the supply-demand projection.
COVID 19 also impose the risk on affecting our employees that may disrupt the organization work process. Measures are currently being implemented such as daily sanitation of its workplace and facilities to ensure the health and safety of the employees.
Finally, SBS is presently reviewing a plan in the event that an organization disruption occurs such that it will be able to continue to serve its customers by operating in any of the following modes:
- Flexible work hours
- Skeletal work force
- Possible temporary offsite facility
