Resignation of Director and Appointment of Independent Director.
Background/Description of the Disclosure
During the regular meeting of the Board of Directors today, March 10, 2021, the Board accepted the resignation of Ms. Emma A. Choa as Director and appointed Mr. Eduardo C. Villanueva as a new member of the Board. Based on his qualifications, he was also appointed as an Independent Director effective March 10, 2021. The Board noted that the resignation of Ms. Emma A. Choa as Director is due to personal reasons. She will remain as the Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the Company. Mr. Eduardo Cruz Villanueva, more popularly known as Bro. Eddie, uses his unique gifts and calling as an evangelist, public servant, and corporate leader in building a better world. He is currently the Deputy Speaker for Good Governance and Moral Transformation of the Philippine House of Representatives while also serving as a congressman for Citizens' Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC) party-list. He is the President and Chairman of ZOE Broadcasting Network, the franchise holder and licensee of VHF Channel 11 and UHF Channel 33. ZOE Broadcasting Network caters to A2Z Channel 11 and operates Light TV Channel 33 - God's Channel of Blessings, which both provide quality entertainment and inspirational programming to Philippine households. More prominently, Bro. Eddie is known as the trailblazing founder, president, and spiritual director of the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide, or JIL, which started as a fellowship of 15 students in 1978. With established chapters all over the Philippines and in more than 60 countries and territories, JIL is now one of the largest Filipino churches in the world.
