SBS Philippines Corporation Adds New Warehouse Facilities for its Food Ingredient Products
Background/Description of the Disclosure
SBS Philippines Corporation (the “SBS”) adds new warehouse facilities to ramp up its inventory in food ingredient products. In the heels of the previously announced sale of shares in its subsidiary Lence Holdings Corporation where SBS netted up to PHP588,770,556.57 of gross revenue, the Company will reinvest a portion of the proceeds to develop additional warehouses to cater to its growing food ingredient raw material product line and increasing demand for Halal certified logistic and distribution facility. This development is also aligned with the direction of SBS to improve operational efficiency by constructing the new facilities in its head office located in Quezon City. The first warehouse will feature a multi-level racking system with a capacity of up to 1,800 pallet location. It is to be outfitted with semi-automated shuttle carts to improve the operational efficiency by capitalizing on technology.
