Background/Description of the Disclosure
Please be advised that the Executive Committee, at its meeting on 25 August 2021, appointed Mr. John Philip S. Orbeta as the Company’s Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer effective 1 October 2021. Mr. Orbeta will replace Mr. Peter C. Buenaseda as Chief Human Resources Officer. Mr. Orbeta is currently a director of the Company. He has been a member of the Ayala Corporation Management Committee since May 2005 and the Ayala Group Management Committee since April 2009. Upon joining Ayala in 2005, he conceptualized and set up the Ayala Group HR Council which helped drive synergy and foster a stronger group identity among Ayala citizens. Under his leadership, the HR Council and its networks has introduced many group-wide projects to drive a stronger group culture and identity. Into the pandemic, Mr. Orbeta led several group-wide human resource initiatives that focuses on health and well-being of employees including household members. Together with the HR Council and the AC Health team, he put together the testing facility at the Makati Stock Exchange. Currently, he co-leads the Ayala Vaccine and Immunization Program (AVIP).
