The Electronic Disclosure Generation Technology is a state-of-the-art, fully automated system that facilitates the efficient processing, validation, submission, distribution, and analysis of time-sensitive disclosure reports submitted to the Exchange. Compared with its predecessor, the Online Disclosure System (ODiSy), Disclosure System offers additional features such as its own website focused on listed company disclosures, a newer and more comprehensive set of templates for improved viewing and searching, and tools to share and disseminate reports to a wider audience.
The Disclosure System forms a critical component of the Exchange’s vision of developing a premier stock exchange that provides world-class technology systems to its stakeholders. To know more about EDGE,
please refer to this page [About Disclosure].
The Disclosure System website is a stand-alone website dedicated to hosting listed company disclosures. These disclosure reports are organized in a way that is easy to use and allows users the capability to perform customized searches.
Disclosure System should be used as a supplement to the Exchange Main Website, which is still the primary gateway for trading-related information, market reports, and announcements relating to activities in the Exchange.
Disclosure System offers users the option to use their social media accounts such as Facebook and Twitter to share news about listed companies to their friends and social media circles. EDGE users can just click the icon located on the page of each disclosure report, which will then direct them to a log-in page for their chosen social media account. This new feature allows company information to be promptly disseminated to a wider audience. The user-driven sharing features of EDGE enable investors equal access to information and improves transparency in the market.
Previously, the limited number of templates made searching for company disclosures a tedious exercise. Broadening the types of disclosures makes the search easier and the disclosure reports more recognizable and manageable to categorize.
For every disclosure template, there is a corresponding Disclosure Form Number assigned. This numbering system makes it easier not only for the Exchange and listed companies but also for investors in referring to various disclosure templates.
Disclosure System already consolidates multiple security types such as B shares and preferred shares under their corresponding company pages for convenience. Just access a company’s page and a drop-down menu of that company’s security types (if applicable) can be chosen to view the desired data on a particular stock.
Information on applicant companies looking to conduct an IPO can be found in the “Listing Applicants” section, located at the top navigation bar of the EDGE website.
The Market Calendar is a one-stop source for upcoming market events as disclosed by listed firms such as annual stockholders’ meetings, investor and analyst briefings, and ex-dates for dividends and rights offerings.
Disclosures in the Disclosure System Website are available up to two years. Historical disclosures beyond the two-year period can be obtained for contacting the Library at (02) 688-7525.
