Manila Mining Corporation
Manila Mining Corporation (MA) was incorporated on June 3, 1949 to primarily engage in the mining and exploration of metals. The Company started its mining operations in Placer, Surigao del Norte in the 1970s. The Company suspended its mining operations in the Placer Project due to the expiration of the temporary authority to construct and operate Tailings Pond No. 7 issued by the EMC-CARAGA. Currently, has mining lease contracts that have been converted into an mineral production share agreement (MPSA), two exploration permits, and three applications for MPSAs or application for production sharing agreement pursuant to the Philippine Mining Act of 1995 (R.A. No. 7942). The Company has a 95%-owned subsidiary, Kalayaan Copper-Gold Resources, Inc., which is engaged in the exploration, mining, development, and utilization of mineral resources, among others.
