| Araneta Properties, Inc. (ARA) was originally incorporated on June 15, 1988, as Integrated Chrome Corporation (INCHROME) with the principal business of mining chrome ore and producing ferro silicon metal, commonly known as ferrochrome. INCHROME stopped its smelter operations in January 1996. Soon after, in September 1996, the Company changed its corporate name to the present one as well as its primary purpose of business to land and property development, maintaining the smelter operations as a secondary purpose. ARA develops its owned lands into commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. The Company owns 2,364,082 sqm of idle cogonal land that has been converted into residential/subdivision, including Colinas Verdes Subdivision and Country Club, a joint venture partnership with Sta. Lucia Realty and Development, Inc. The Company continues to pursue its land banking activities in other parts of the country, and as of December 31, 2024, ARA owns a total of 3,475,590 sqm parcels of land.
